Stephen Koch: CEEA’s New Chair
The Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance’s (CEEA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Koch, Executive Director for the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA Canada), as CEEA’s Board Chair.
“This is a very exciting time for CEEA–as energy efficiency is beginning to take a primary role in Canada’s overall sustainability plan. Leadership will be a key factor in CEEA’s success, and the drive and determination Mr. Koch has shown for increasing energy efficiency in his industry, is making real advancements that will ultimately benefit all Canadians. As a long time advocate for energy efficiency in Canada, Mr. Koch has built a reputation for sound judgement and fair business practices that fit well with the mission of our organization. A well known speaker at energy efficiency conferences and a sought after participant on councils and committees, Mr. Koch possesses the right qualifications to be Chair of the Board of the Canada Energy Efficiency Alliance,” said Ken Elsey, President and CEO of CEEA.
“I am committed to the organization’s priorities of enhancing the energy efficiency of new home construction and renovations, the development of Energy Efficiency Standards for products, as well as improvements in our transportation sector as North America moves to alternative vehicles. I am confident in delivering significant progress on these fronts with the support of the terrific staff at CEEA and our Board of Directors,” said Stephen Koch upon receiving his appointment.
CEEA’s Board also appointed long-time board member Michael Lio, Principal of Lio & Associates, as CEEA’s Vice-Chair, Corey McBurney, President of EnerQuality, as Treasurer, and Guiliana Rossini, Director, Strategy and Conservation Officer of Hydro One, as Board Secretary.
